Rumor has it K9 will be in a cartoon show just for the kiddies. Author Bob Baker owns the rights to K9 & wanted to use him on his own, I think they would have to pay him every time he appeared in SJ or DW. Daleks creator Terry Nation has a similar deal so they are used sparingly.
