He's being too hard on himself for ever believing Colby was a bad guy. And does anyone think for a second that Colby will use his "free ticket" to a job anywhere for anything other than staying with the team?

As far as the 2nd episode, I thought the plot was a little weak. If someone gets killed in a person's house and not reported, are you going to let him stand around and watch you do your work, AND explain it to him? He's a suspect! Even though he ended up having nothing to do with the girl's murder, his whole entourage (including the killer) got to have the run of the house while they collected evidence? Whatever happened to a crime scene? Sloppy writing.
