Subject: The various "CSI" shows and RST

Has anybody else noticed that the various "CSI" shows seem immune from the "rule" that resolving sexual tension between two main characters will result in viewers abandoning the series in droves?
On regular "CSI" they revealed that Grissom and Sara were "involved" in May of 2006 and the show remained in the top ten throughout the 2006-07 TV season and, so far, is in the top ten for the 2007-08 season. On "CSI:NY" they resolved the UST between Lindsey and Danny in May of 2007 and the show has remained in the top 20 (it was never top ten to begin with) for the first two months of this TV season.
