Subject: My comments on the ABC schedule
In reply to: SMH 's message, "Fall TV Schedule: ABC's New Shows" on 13:02:56 08/05/08 Tue

ABC already has so many good shows that it didn't really need anything else. You'll notice the returning list is only for fall shows, which is why LOST isn't on there. Zap2it doesn't have their spring line up ready.

1. Opportunity Knocks. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge game show fan. This could be cute I suppose, but I will probably only watch if I'm home and flipping channels.

2. Life on Mars. Yet another British show converted to American TV. The premise is interesting, but for every The Office there are 10 Couplings, so it's risky. I might tune in depending upon the time slot.

3. The Goode Family. Again, I'll be honest. I hate cartoons made for adults. I hate Family Guy, I hate American Dad, I hate King of the Hill, I tolerate The Simpsons. I shan't be watching this.

4. Scrubs. This caught me totally off guard. I've been a fan of Scrubs since it came on NBC all those years ago. The last season was a little tired and I thought it stumbled to a super weird and not that funny series finale. I'll watch it, for sure, but I hope it can regain it's old sense of humor or it'll get the axe on ABC as well.

Returning ABC shows I watch:

Desperate Housewives. Ended very strangely last year. I've stopped caring much about it, but still tune in when I see it on my DVR.

Dirty Sexy Money: One of my favorite new shows last year. It's a delicious trashy soap opera that's schedule go majorly screwed with due to the strike. I was afraid it might get canceled thank goodness it's back!

Grey's Anatomy: After a repugnantly self indulgent 3rd season, season four got back to what I love about this show. Meredith has finally gotten her act together and if they go back to her being a giant freak I might have to stop watching. It ended very sweetly last season.
