Premieres: Tuesday, September 2

Premise: Teenager Annie Mills and her adopted brother Dixon are in for a bit of culture shock when they enter West Beverly High, dealing with a new set of cliques and their dad as the school's principal while keeping an eye on their liquor-loving grandma Tabitha.

First Impressions: No real footage as of yet, but we kind of like the reworked theme music, which sounds like a slightly edgier, lo-fi version of the original show's song. Points as well for having a little diversity in the cast.

Stars: Shenae Grimes ("Degrassi: The Next Generation), Tristan Wilds ("The Wire"), Lori Loughlin ("Full House"), Jessica Walter ("Arrested Development"), AnnaLynne McCord ("Nip/Tuck"), Dustin Milligan ("Runaway"), (Michael Steger, "The Winner"), Jessica Stroup ("Reaper"), (Ryan Eggold, "Dirt") and recurring guest star Jennie Garth ("Beverly Hills, 90210")

Premise: Yale grad Megan Smith wants to be a reporter, but somehow gets roped into being the live-in tutor to a rich Palm Beach lady's bratty twin granddaughters Rose and Sage.

First Impressions: With that title, we were expecting something with a little more bite than what the trailer showed. JoAnna Garcia looks like she'll be capable of carrying off the lead role, though.

Premise: Eleven aspiring fashionistas vie for an editorial job with Elle magazine's Fashion News Director Anne Slowey in this reality competition show in the spirit of "The Devil Wears Prada."

First Impressions: The "Prada" comparison is apt, as clips showed the contestants doing any number of demeaning tasks. Whether this falls into guilty-pleasure territory will depend a great deal on the feistiness of the players.

Premise: The hum-drum lives of a generic suburban family, headed by Keith and Anne Stevers, are turned upside down when new neighbors move in next door. The neighbors have a distractingly hot 17-year-old daugther and soon file a lawsuit against Anne to force her to cut down her bougainvillea vine.
