Subject: My thoughts on the NBC Shows
In reply to: SMH 's message, "Fall TV Schedule: NBC's New Shows" on 13:50:36 08/05/08 Tue

1. America's Toughest Jobs. This sounds like it belongs on the Discovery Channel or TLC. The sort of show lots of people like, I'm just not one of them.

2. Knight Rider. AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH I'M SO THERE. Honestly it will probably suck, but how can I not watch it?

3. My Own Worst Enemy. Another show that is totally different. I might give it a try, just to see what's going on. It'll probably flop.

4. Crusoe. Interesting. Will he be all alone on the island, like in Castaway? That could get real old, real quick.

5. Kath & Kim. No interest whatsoever.

6. Kings. This is one where I just don't have enough information. I'd like to see some previews and maybe a review. It could be awesome.

7. The Office Spin Off. The Office is one of the most brilliant shows on television. Why mess with a good thing? I'll definitely watch it but I don't have very high hopes.

8. Merlin. No thanks.

I'm not going to comment on the rest because they don't have much detail and they're not very fleshed out. We'll see if they even make it to the TV.

Current NBC shows I watch
The Biggest Loser -- One of my all time favorites although the past few season they've started focusing more on drama, strategy and in-fighting than the actual weight loss. It's turned me off a little but I still enjoy watching the players reach their goals.

Law & Order: SVU -- I used to watch this religiously and love it but now it's more out of habit. I like the mindless entertainment of the L&O shows every now and then.

The Office -- The best show on television, hands down.

30 Rock -- This and The Office are the only two comedies that I have truly, truly loved since Seinfeld and Friends went off the air. Tine Fey, Alec Baldwin, and Tracy Morgan are brilliant in this show.

Friday Night Lights -- I thought this was getting canceled! I am SO SO SO excited that it's back! It's one of my favorites, but it doesn't really get the ratings. This will probably be its last season as it's almost been canceled twice now.
