Subject: Possible bad news regarding "NCIS"

This was posted on the WritersWall website I sometimes visit. I'm not sure where it originated or exactly what parts are opinion and which are fact, but it was posted by the forum moderator and she's generally a level-headed, trustworthy type. Comments from me at the end:

*******

NCIS fans (and I know there are a few here on the WALL) are not going to like the word on the street regarding this stellar show. Rumor has it Mark Harmon is fed up with executive producer Bellisario's micro-managing every tiny aspect of the show. Sources claim Harmon--one of the few actors who's actually gracious, respectful, and easy to get along with--has had it with 16-hour days and script changes faxed to the set near the end of the day, which always extend the day even longer.

Multiple sources confirm that Mark Harmon is embroiled in a tense standoff with NCIS executive producer Don Bellisario, with Harmon apparently threatening to walk. CBS declined comment, but an insider says Harmon has been unhappy for some time over Bellisario's "chaotic management style," and simply became fed up. ~Michael Ausiello, TV Guide

While Harmon has not missed a day of work, he's made it clear that he's not happy, and walking may be his decision at the end of the season. It was difficult enough to get used to Ziva joining the show after Kate's departure, but it will not be the same if Harmon walks as well.

I say. . . Nooooo!!! The show simply wouldn't be the same without Gibbs. And I probably wouldn't watch. I hope they can reach some sort of agreement. This show is only in its fourth season and is still going strong.
