Subject: Dark Angel re-runs asnyone?

Sci-Fi is showing 4 eps every Monday night 7-11. I caught a few of S1 when it was first on & then saw the finale of S2. Was never sure how good this show was. I can see the Vancouver locales are well used & the production values are excellent. I can see how you ladies loved the UST. But for me, it's so-so as I near the end of S1.

Logan being crippled (read impotent) is the big wench in the works to prevent a Max/Logan hook up. Nicely keeps them apart long enough.

The Jam Pony people don't add that much to the story. It's good that Max has friends & this serves as a grounding for her same as Syd in early Alias with her friends. Just seems odd that they don't realize she's different (expect O.Cindy) or that they are never targeted by Manticore. Many eps have Max on missions & don't mention work at all. Guess she has flexible hours. Makes sense in the eps after she saved the boss's life but not before.

The eps start to become a standard "almost get caught by Manticore but get away in the end" thing. Lydecker is not very smart. He comes to know Max is in Seattle & knows what she looks like. He tries once to make her wanted but doesn't stick with it. Why? She would be dead meat. I know the show can't go elsewhere as they are stuck with the one setting. They can't have Max be a fugitive (at least not yet). But it doesn't make sense that she can run around Seattle & not be caught. Especially with that motorcycle. That alone should nail her.

A good series over all but I'm glad I didn't buy it on DVD. I wonder if I'd like S2 less or more. Supposedly S2 is worse but I saw a bit of one ep (can anyone name it?) in which she was with a fat guy who was unnoticed by ewveryone & knew all strategies. That was cool.
