I really liked the first season of "Dark Angel" but only caught a few eps of the second season. In the first season, Max and Logan were the two main characters and the show focused just as much on his problems (which included not only dealing with the spinal cord injury, but also his ex-wife) as they did on her problems (the whole genetically altered killing machine who can't come to terms with her past thing.)
In the second season, Logan was demoted to the role of supporting character and the main focus was on Max. I guess they were trying to capitalize on Jessica Alba's burgeoning "sex symbol" image and to capture the highly-prized "young male" demograhpics as their audience. But it was a turnoff for middle-aged women viewers like me. (Apparently it didn't work too well, anyway, as the show was cancelled after the second season.)
However, I have the first season on DVD so if you want to "talk" about any of those eps, I can always refresh my memory with a quick viewing.
Have you ever seen Michael Weatherly in "NCIS"? He plays a VERY different type of character there than he did as Logan, but does a great job with it. So I think he's a much better actor than he's given credit for.
