I'm with you on the old stuff. Give me a B&W movie any day over most of the newer ones. Silent movies are cool. My favorite performer in those is Harold Lloyd.

As for this year. I'm really liking Vanished. it's getting quite good! I just hope it survives because they're spinning quite a story.

I tried Standoff too and felt about like you did IG. Didn't care for it much and the couple didn't charm me and if a show is going to revolve around a couple I have to like them. The guy in it is certainly no David Addison. I'm sorry for you that it's not a better romance/crime show a la Moonlighting or Remington Steele. I know you're looking for that.

I also like Justice. Quite good stories and well written. I'm not sure if the formula will get tiresome after a few mopnths but we'll see.

I have Kidnapped on my Tivo but haven't watched it yet. Takes me forever to get to some of these! Just not enough spare time to watch tv. I fear it might not make it though. Didn't do well in the ratings for the first week.

Will also check out The Nine and I think the only comedy I will try is Ugly Betty but it may end up as one of those 'doesn't live up to the hype' shows.

Another "new" show I really like but in a different vain is Life on Mars. It's a British show that airs on BBCAmerica. It's about a police detective who's in a car accident and when he wakes up he somehow has been transported back in time to 1973. They use a lot of the music from that period and point out differences between then and now, some of which are amusing. Part of it's a crime show and part of it's kind of an X-Filey mystery with Sam trying to figure out what the heck he's doing in 1973.

I'm most looking forward to the return of Medium. One of my faves. I think Studio 60 or something is in it's time slot now so I don't even know when it will be on! SMH I'm not a Sorkin fan.:D

Still watching Prison Break (exciting stuff!) and will watch Lost and DH.
