OK, the new show has only 2 seasons under it's belt & there are TWO spinoffs in the works???? Seems like overkill, like all the CSI/Law & Order shows. I heard about the Sarah Jane show but not the Doc having a son. They already tried a Sarah Jane show way back in 1981 & it didn't work. Well, I guess since the Doctor does OK without hardly leaving contemporary London, Sarah can do it too.

I've seen up thru The Age of Steel in season2 and I must say I feel a bit let down by this season. S1 was better. I'm hoping things improve. School Reunion was good as was The Girl in the Fireplace but the Cybermen's return was disappointing and I hated Tooth & Claw. David Tennant is a very good Doctor but I'm sick of Rose & her family/friends being the focus, staying too much in the here & now when we have a time/space machine, having silly bits in plots, having relationships be the focus. As neat as the French story was, it was about the Doctor falling in love & losing her. That's fine but we already did several episodes that told us how lonely the Doctor is, we don't need to be reminded over & over. The final scene in The Green Death when Jo went off to get married & the Doctor drove off in Bessie by himself said all this in one shot!!!!

I'd like to see Lis if possible, don't think I got to see her back when. I suppose a son with Romana makes sense or could he have one with a human? One wonders if the Fox DW movie from 1996 is considered cannon as that claimed he's half human. Well, I suppose this is better than no show at all. I wish Russell Davis would leave the writing to others & just produce the show. He's writing almost half the scripts & I'd say his tend to be the weak entries.
