I hadn't heard that MJ wanted to leave. I know he has been doing a few films but how they could start another plot and cut out all the characters is a puzzle to me.

The biggest thing that hit me was the comparison to XFiles. Scully and Syd are pregnant, the fathers are dead. Both women keep working--Syd is a lot more active than Scully. I loved the scene where she mentioned hormones and then kicked the guy out the window.

Actually it's not hard to work while pregnant. I taught Physical Ed. right up to the day I delivered two of my kids. Not too hard to do if you plan. It's nice that you lift heavy boxes and things for your wife--that sort of thing can be a problem!

Anyhow, back to comparisons. Mulder came back, new and improved. The coffin on the airplane showed the hand twitching but of course there was no face to go with it. Will Vaughn or his father be coming back? Maybe Vaughn wasn't dead after all or else they have a way to revive him? The coffin in the plane looked an awful lot like his from the funeral scene.

I hate the idea of Weiss leaving even if his reasons are believable. Maybe he has to leave so that they have a mole or infomant in another gov. organization? I liked watching Syd and her sis work together. What I am concerned about are the new characters. BTW--who is the new guy? I couldn't put a name to that actor's face and missed it at the beginning.
