I love me some Sayid, but I never felt quite right about him and Shannon. According to his flashback episodes, it's his life mission to find his love, Nadia (is that her name?) but then he's stuck on an island, and Shannon is hot, so there you go.

I guess Jack and Kate were down in the hatch for this episode, but if you looked closely in the flashback portion you could see Dr. Jack in the background when Shannon's father died.
