Subject: The 11/30 ep (SPOILERS)
In reply to: SMH 's message, "Re: Lost-are they getting off track?" on 18:18:51 11/27/05 Sun

I thought last night's ep was good. I had to kind of smile and shake my head when I saw the Jack/Kate kiss. . .if I had started watching the show last year and had been desperately shipping for them ever since the first ep, it would have taken AT LEAST 'til the end of the third season for them to kiss. I actually have a hard time shipping for either Jack/Kate or Kate/Sawyer. . .Jack is the one I would choose if I was stranded on a desert island, but Sawyer actually seems like he's a better match for Kate.
As far as Kate's back story is concerned. . .she seemd to want to get caught. If she'd simply rigged the explosion and left, there was probalby a good chance it would have been written off as an accident. However, she confessed to her mother in front of a diner full of customers!
One thing I do like about "Lost" is that they're actually showing some happy marriages. Jin and Sun had their problems last season, but the scene outside their tent certainly seemed to indicate that they've resolved their differences. And Bernard and Rose are SO sweet together! This is a nice contrast to most shows which usually feature a cast full of unmarried characters or, if anybody is married, portray them has having less "fun" than the single characrters.
Kudos to Hurley for saying what everybody was probably thinking! (So, Rose's husband is white. Didn't see that one coming.)
In the final scene, when Jack was trying to get Ana Lucia drunk. . .I certainly hope he takes away her knife and the spear she was making once she's passed out. That woman does NOT need to have weapons.
