No it's not an S9 ep. It's an old ep from season one or two. My son bought the first two seasons on DVD and we are watching them.
Umm. . .Jack and Samantha are in Washington. They go to a party and Samantha's Dad is there. He tells her he's "pulled some strings" to get her reassigned to NASA and that he has cancer. She doesn't want to go to NASA, understandably enough, but, IMHO, she's kind of rude to her Dad, considering he has cancer and all. Spender (don't have a clue as to what his name is in this ep) is a reporter. He follows Jack and Samantha around and eavesdrops on a conversation in which Jack makes reference to "navigating halfway across the galaxy". He's already got some suspicions about the Stargate project and figures Jack is just the person to confirm them. He confronts Jack, who refuses to talk to him. Then a car runs over him.
