Subject: Thoughts on the 4/15 ep. . .

This was a good ep. I loved having Lou Diamond Phillips as the sniper agent. I hope they'll bring him back again sometime next season! The Dad/Don/Charlie stuff was good, as always. While I can understand Alan's anxiety about having both his sons in harm's way, I liked that Don pointed out the obvious: Charlie is a grown man who can make his own decisions about how much danger he chooses to expose himself to. I also enjoyed the part where Don was teaching Charlie how to shoot. It's good that they include occasional "Charlie learns something from Don" scenes, as the bulk of the show is usually "Don learns something from Charlie".
Did anybody else get the feeling that the "David and Terry in the car" scene was originally scripted as a "Don and Terry in the car" scene and then switched? For some reason, it just struck me that way. The conversation they were having involving her ex-husband seemed slightly too personal for Terry to share with a man she's only known for a few months; it would have been natural for her to discuss that sort of thing with Don.
My one, very mild criticism of this ep is the same mild problem I have with the show in general: it's too male-oriented. Granted, the guys are *GORGEOUS* and I love looking at them, but I'd like to see more of Terry and Amita. Being as I'm a shipper, I'd particularly like to see more Don/Terry and Charlie/Amita scenes. But I'd also to see an occasional scene where Terry and Amita interact with each other; I'd love a "Terry and Amita go out for coffee and conversation" scene, similiar to the "Alan and Larry play chess and discuss Charlie" scene in this ep.
