This season had alot of continuity with the original series thanks to writer Manny Coto. A just concluded 2 parter was set in the Mirror Universe introed back in the day (the one that had Spock with a beard & an evil empire instead of a federation). They also tried in the episode The Tholian Web in which the Enterpise's sister ship, the Defiant, was in a time/space warp & Kirk was almost whisked away. They have that ship end up in the mirror universe of Archer (100 years eariler) so when he gets ahold of it, he is technically superior to all others in his universe.

The cast got to act evil & clearly loved it. Some of the mirror characters are 10 times better than their regular characters. The crews are too goody-goody on the Star trek shows, not enough conflict & hardly any negative personality traits. Also seen was a Gorn and the Organians who both haven't been seen since the 60s.

The last 3 eps are next, to be shown over 2 weeks. Cameoes by Riker & Troi in the last ep in which the Federation gets founded or something like that.
