as the 17th most-wartched show last week. Apparently anybody who had EVER watched so much as half an ep of "JAG" tuned in fior the finale. I'm glad it went out with a bang!
Melissa, I'm sure that you lowered the average audience age by about three years just by watching. Heck, I'm considered a "young" viewer of JAG, because I'm only in my early 40s.
While I agree that it was time (past time, really) for the show to leave the air, I also gree with the producer who has been quoted as saying JAG got cancelled not because it got too small an audience (because it actually got relatively good ratings for a Friday night show) but because its average audience age was too old. The show appealed primarily to the 50-plus audience, not the 18-49-year-old crowd that advertisers crave.
