Yeah, maybe they are kind of transposing Amita and Terry; making Amita more of the "female lead" and Terry more of a "recurring guest star". I suppose I could live with that, although I honestly don't understand why a show that has FIVE men in leading roles can't have more than ONE woman as a lead.
Actually this was addresed today at the "Numb3rs" board. Apparently Sabrina Lloyd (actress who plays Terry) was originally written into this episode, but she had some sort of "personal emergency" and they had to hand out her lines to other actors (mostly David, since he's the only other character, except Don, who's an FBI agent). Indeed the original script had a direct comparison between Don/Terry and Mulder/Scully. The producer posted this snippet of original dialogue, which had to be cut when they switched it from a Don/Terry scene to a Don/David scene. . .

EXT. BACKYARD BARBEQUE HOUSE -- DAY

Don and Terry walk away from the house with the video tape of the UAE.

A young boy (9) appears at the door with his little sister (5).

YOUNG BOY
See? I told you. Mulder and Scully.

Cute, huh??
