SL is apparently not going to be a "regular cast member" of the show next year. Rumors on the "Numb3rs" board indicate there's some discussion going on between her and the producers as to whether she'll be a "recurring guest star" -- which is the current status of Navi Rawat, the only other woman who's appeared in more than one episode of the series -- or whether she'll just be off the series all together.
Like I said in my original post, "Numb3rs" just isn't turning out to be what I thought it would, based on the pilot and the first half a dozen eps. I like series with strong women characters (i.e Scully on XF, Mac on JAG, Cait and Abby on NCIS, etc.) and I like some tiny hint of on-going UST between some of the main characters. . .even it does take YEARS for things to progress, as it did on both XF and JAG. I've just never cared for shows with all-male casts for the main characters (or, I suppose, all-female casts, although I think those kinds of show are much rarer). Neither Terry nor Amita was shown -- or even mentioned -- in the season finale which I think indicates that they're not regarded as important characters by the producers.
