Subject: TV round-up for week of 5/16 (24, Lost, Alias, Enterprise)-SPOILERS!

Wow, really getting into this now that shows are whining up. Saving the best for last, we hope.

Enterprise-this was the series finale. 2 eps but not connected. The 1st was the 2nd part of last week's ep about anti-alien human terrorists trying to get all aliens to leave Earth. So-so, seen it before. The actaul finale that followed took place 6 years later (or 200 years years later as this was all seen by Riker & Troi on the holodeck). This is the Enterprise's last mission, Archer is returning to help found the Federation. This was the lamest Star Trek finale ever. The Trip-T'Pol UST is declared over & no one ends up with anyone. A main character is killed off in a completely unnecessary way. The show seems to point to a Trip-T'Pol-Archer triangle but totally whimped out. Not sure why, the previous ep ended with Trip & T'Pol as close as they had ever been and with them realizing Vulcans & Humans could have children together. I guess this was slapped together at the last minute just after learning of the cancellation, Riker & Troi's presence (from ST: The Next Generation) didn't really add anything to it.

24-Well, my prediction is now that the Chinese wanting revenge on Jack being part of next season's arc. The lesson from Monday's ep, all gay dope-smokers are compromising national security. Tony & Michelle make up in time for him to be put in danger & with Jack as a rescuer, I don't like his chances. Palmer's going to do something to the Speaker of the House I think he'll regret. LA must be the missle's target since it's taking so long.

Lost-finally we're getting somewhere. Rousseau meets up with the castaways, the raft launches, the hatch about to be opened. Are the "monsters" just sounds & nothing else? Are they invisable? How can we not have seen them by now? What is on fire that makes the smoke? I liked having mutliple flashbacks instead of just concentrating on one person. Arzt is new, kinda annoying so far. I assume the Michelle Rodriguez character (the one talking to Jack in the bar) died since she was near the back but the older black lady thinks her husband is still alive so perhaps we'll meet her again. I like MR (see Girlfight) & wish she would do more drama & get away from the action stuff.

Alias-finally got Syd's Mom back. I thought that the Mom's death was fake, too easy. Is Sloane really a traitor or is he going to save the day? Finally we see a big application of that red ball first seen in ep 1 four years ago. Looks like an all action finale next week, that's why I love this show. Glad they rebounded from last year.
