It's true that, for all his talk, we've never actually seen Tony in bed with a woman during the two seasons this show has been on the air! He also has the capacity to act in a mature and thoughtful manner, even if he doesn't use it much. . .remember how respectful and interesed he was when talking with the World War II vet in episode eariler this year?
I wonder, too, what his childhood was like. In an ep when he was undercover another man said something about being abused as a child and Tony responded with "My father was always too drunk to hurt anybody". . .which *might* have been part of his cover story but which had a ring of truth to it.
Generally speaking, I like Tony's joking, laid-back attitude. It reminds me of a lot of my favorite 80s TV detectives (i.e. David on "Moonlighting" or "Remington Steele") as opposed to the ultra-serious breed we see on most TV shows nowadays (i.e. the various CSI's and, yes, even our beloved Mulder).
