Subject: Good bye little buddy!

I grew up watching Bob Denver and was rather saddened to hear of his passing. We older kids first knew him as Maynard G. Krebbs, the beatnik. I think the Doby Gillis show is still on in reruns. Then of course there was Gilligan which is also a classic.

Sadly today's comedians have not found a way to copy his innocent way of making us laugh. He didn't have to wait for a punch line which so many rely on today. The other thing was that you never quite knew what to expect from his characters, other than Maynard and the "W" word.
