Pretty good article but he did leave out all the SciFi things. I know he was focusing on one type of show but I think we have three major genres beyond sports and they are: mystery (cop, CSI's, lawyer, etc), reality stuff, and SciFi things which are new this year. We had a huge gap in programming when the XFiles were over. It looked like the powers-that-be realized that a huge fan base was still looking for something to take its place. Unfortunately it took a couple of years to figure that out and now they are all trying to jump on the bandwagon with their own SciFi shows--none of which to date are even close to the Xfiles, IMHO anyhow.
