Subject: The reality shows may have run their course

Or at least they're starting to. A number of them have been doing terrible in the ratings, The Benefactor, The Bachelor. Maybe perople are finally sick of them! The fact that the two most popular new series are shows with actual stories scripts and real actors is going to send a message to he network guys that people indeed still want to see ideas from writers rather than idiots looking for their 15 minutes of fame. The poularity of the CSI franchise also shws that. Survivor and a couple other "reality: series are still ppular but I'm thinkling the glutton of reality tv may be on the wane. It's about time.

With Alias I admire ABC stiking with it. That type of show has a loyalty audience. Maybe the numbers aren't as high as other shows but that type of show has a built in cult audience that the netowrk knows will always be there week after week rather than just casual viewers who might check it out rom time to time. The networks like that. Plus I think it's got that coveted males 18-25 demo watching and they want that.
