I will be 54 when my youngest reaches 20. Even now, at 40, I find life exhausting with work and kids of 6,9 & 10. My aunty and uncle are having a terrible time with my 17 yr old cousin. My aunty is 57 and my uncle is 62. Not only are they lacking vigor but my cousin really detests having old parents and is very mean to them. I feel like putting the kid in a time machine and taking her back to see what her mother went through to get her. She's a horrible kid, not because her parents are old. They are very youthful parents and my sister and I had such fun times with them yrs ago and she would now if she gave them a chance. But they live in western sydney and the kid just basically runs wild with her friends. My uncle is not a nice man and has taught her everything he knows so that's how she has become horrible, but even nice, switched on young parents have a hard job trying to keep teens on the rails these days. The oldies have a much harder time. I feel sorry for my aunty who is nice and thought having that child was the best thing ever.

I can't imagine why anyone would think Mac is better than Harm. You know, it always seems that the woman is the one doing all the running in these shows and the man does all the chasing. The woman is the one who always cools it off. Or steps back. Except in the case of Woody on Crossing Jordan. But all the others, the man was all go and the woman wasn't. Mac/Harm, Samantha/Jack [although I still can't picture them as a couple] Scully/Mulder, Laura /Remmington even as far back as Gunsmoke and Miss Kitty or whoever they were.
