I saw the guy who plays Boone on a talk show the other night and he was talking about when he first got pages of the script and when he met the woman who would play Shannon. He said he paid a visit to thr producers or somebody and said to them, "why does she have to be my sister?!" They just laughed and walked away.
I wonder if this plot twist was in place all along? I know people on the TWoP site have been saying incest since early on.
Funny, it made me think of the kids on The Brady Bunch who were all aledgedly daing each other in real life even though they played step siblings.

I thought it was funny that during Boone's visit to the Aussie police station we see Sawyer being dragged in yelling

Yeah I really thought Shannon was dead. What a dirty trick! And what the heck is that stuff Locke put on Boone? Some sort of hallucinigen? Locke seems to know how well the island can affect things in the weirdest ways.
So they just sit there starring at the hatch trying to figure out if it will oepn. What would be funny is if they opened it and it was filled with nothing but bananas or something.

Next week's looks very scary with Walt!
