Subject: NCIS and NUMB3RS rock the ratings!

NCIS and NUMB3RS (my two fave tv shows) both managed to place in the top twenty of the Nielsen ratings for the week that ended with Super Bowl Sunday.
This is especially impressive when you consider that:
1.) NCIS is going head-to-head against "American Idol" on Tuesdays, and AI is always a top ten show.
2.) NUMB3RS is airing on Friday which is traditionally a low-viewership night.
Apparently my "curse" (in which every show that I begin watching with its pilot ep dies an early and ignoble death) is fading! I thought NCIS might be some sort of quirk, since it was a spinoff of a successful TV show, but I don't seem to be hurting NUMB3RS, either.
