Subject: House--possible new UST??? spoilers--maybe

I don't know how many of you watch this series but I have been following it from the pilot. Basically this cranky Dr. House is a genius at diagnosing strange things which are either killing or making people unexplainably sick. He has three younger doctors working with him--two men and one woman. He also has a "sort-of" friend who is an Oncologist in the hospital where he works. The Hospital director is a woman who recognizes his talents but is trying to turn him into a productive doctor. Anyhow, he has slowly had to face his own medical problem which has caused him to limp as a result of a blood clot in his leg which has caused pain and permanent damage. His personality and bedside manner leave a lot to be desired as he is short tempered and sarcastic.

Anyhow, last night (2-22) he was stuck with very expensive tickets to a Monster Truck show and ended up asking his female colleague to go with him after being turned down by the Oncologist. The ending scene showed both of them eating cotton candy and obviously enjoying their night out.

What I found interesting beyond all this is that while she hasn't said so directly, this female doctor's way of responding to criticisms against Dr. House as well as the way she does what he asks (patient treatments for example) reminds me an awful lot of Mulder and Scully. She also is intelligent, a M. and an independent thinker when it comes to the people in her life. I think she has more than just a soft spot in her heart for this guy.
