Keep dreaming on a season like that. Not going to happen. We keep hoping. Hope isn’t a strategy.

The response wasn't whether it was likely to happen. It was being dumbfounded by the statement: "Even if they win 20+ wins and there is a post season appearance we need to move on." This opened up as many dreams as one would like.

If "Hope isn't a strategy", then why hire a new coach? Doesn't a new coach bring "hope"?

This is how it will play out:
1) Team loses more than it wins next season.
2) Reggie is let go.
3) Debate and excitement of a new job search brings high levels of "temporary hope".
4) New coach is named and it isn't what fans on here hoped, but it's new, and that's enough for lower levels of "temporary hope".
5) New coach loses worse than Reggie in year 1. Negativity seeps in early and the honeymoon is over quickly.
6) New coach is mediocre and brings no excitement.
7) Board members whine and complain for the rest of the decade.

I believe Reggie will gracefully retire at the end of next basketball season. Just my opinion, no insider information.
