I am totally in favor of paying our coaches a fair wage. CC is not in a position to come up with millions for our program. If we had some money, I would prefer that it be put into improving our facilities. Softball, one of most successful programs desperately needs a new facility, and the baseball area could also use some improvements. I often wonder what was the cost for the parking ramp demolition. It had to cost a small fortune. I'm hoping that area improves the look of the campus. Go Griffs and let's beat NU. Remember when that game drew 10K at the Aud. Be nice to see the KAC filled come Sat.

Assistants are on one-year contracts that expire on July 1. So we will not be paying anything to Hawkins, Schaetzle or Cage next season. Nada.

So, given your estimated salaries for the new staff of $730,000, even paying RW off at full value keeps it just under $1 million. Get RW to take a graduated payout over three or four years, instead of a one-year, highly-taxable lump sum, and the cost of salaries is well under $1 million, in the $800 K range.

The point is, either we decide to invest (spend more money) on basketball, or continue to suck. Pretty simple choice.

"Left Out Griff." What are we, 12?

Assistant coaches are not on one year contracts. That is simply not true.
