I do have to admit that would be a top level MAAC lineup and on paper certainly good enough to win it. Reggie, however, wore out his welcome. I'll stop there.

All of this is a fun thought experiment but ignores a massive flaw: NIL.

Explain a world where either:

-Those guys stay at Canisius for no NIL. Not to mention that two of those guys got Coach Witherspoon fired because former assistant Calvin Cage told them to sit out the season so they could make more in NIL.

OR

-Coach Witherspoon builds a big enough NIL war chest to fund this theoretical team. His lack of fan engagement and inability to fundraise NIL previously should present some challenges...

I will always hate Taj and Long for what they did to Reggie and their teammates.If Cage did that, F him.Reggie should never forgive him. What a team they could have had. Remember early in the season they were rated higher than teams like Indiana and North Carolina.
