Nice to see Canisius tapping back into New Jersey with this recruit and Oliver last year. That area and all of metro New York area used to be one of our main pipelines for basketball players back in the day, almost none from that area this century it seems, would be nice to be able to get back into the mix there although I assume competition for players more intense than ever or perhaps more costly is the new norm.

Julius Coles, Chris Manhertz, Frank Turner (NJ), Akrum Ahemed (NJ), Majesty Brandon, TJ Gadsden - and to a much lesser extent - Ahamadou Fofana, Isaiah Gurley, Raven Owen, and Chris Atkinson come to mind but you're right. Obviously fertile recruiting territory and with Christian, Jenkins, and Hall all having significant NYC connections, I would expect more kids from that area.
