Re: Digital broadcast -- Incredulous, Sat, January 24 2026, 14:18:16
I’m glad the games are on TV. Don’t we have an ESPN studio at the school? Don’t we have kids in that program? Can’t they do the coach sound bites and go on the bus to the games . Wouldn’t they jump at the chance to have it on their resume that they did live broadcasts etc. I’m complaining that the school doesn’t promote the program not the geezers on this board. But I do email all media complaining about lack of coverage. So maybe I should ask what you guys do. Hope you’re enjoying the great Fairfield announcers. Ok I’m out you guys are mean. I’m not the stupid Video Board guy. I’m a guy who wants the program to be promoted by the school in any way possible. Continue putting up with mediocrity boys. Go Griffs!

Re: Digital broadcast -- Money..., Sat, January 24 2026, 15:17:30
All these things sound great, but there's not enough money to make it happen. Want it to happen? Cut a check and get your friends to do the same. Most of the people who post here donate, buy season tickets, and have a relationship with the folks who promote Canisius Athletics. The marketing guy is comically transparent and accessible. I guarantee that no one in the MAAC is talking as directly and transparently to the fans more than he is. Matt Reitnour is approachable and gives out as much information as he can. Bill Maher never lets an email go unread, and responds to reasonable inquiries.
Canisius has a tight community. Frankly, if you donate, you'll be part of the inner circle that hears all the information, even more than you'd hear on a broadcast. Send an email or write a check, but you're just preaching to the choir coming on here demanding the school do more. We all want that, but it doesn't happen without more money.

Sure they could. So a program that struggles mightily financially is going to pay to put kids up in a Connecticut hotel for three nights and feed them ten meals each to have a couple of pre-game and post-game interviews? And I certainly wouldn't want to speak for JC but I seriously doubt that he and his staff would want to add to the travelling party so that he could conduct interviews that he doesn't want to do in the first place. I appreciate your desire to make the program better but c'mon man. This makes no sense.

Oh the beauty of the interview of the coach. Even though I loved him, all I can remember from Baron was bitching about the size of the crowd every single game or Reggie blaming everyone but himself. Boy I really miss those days. Pay attention and you don't need interviews before or after the game. And you obviously didn't know you can listen from the espn app because you are trying to change the subject.
