As the great Yankee Shortstop and then great Yankee Broadcaster Phil Rizzuto often said, "Holy Cow!". That's surely better than, "oh sh--.". Ten wins are way better than three. This group has been getting better as the season has progressed (in BGs' opinion). But there's still a long way to go for the next, win or lose on Sunday. First and foremost fighting off the stinking $$ hopping.BG believes this Freshman class (all four) have great promise with CU coaching, some muscle and lbs. over the off season and Summer and work on their own individual games. And as Phil Rizzuto would say to them,"Stick Around and Grow as a Griff!".

All four freshmen are not staying. Possibly one will.

Who do you think stays? It’s not like any of them have been major contributors. Edwards has probably had the most minutes. Go Griffs!

Edwards. He's by far been the best of the four.

Why not? Coaches decision? SS hopping? Hope "Possibly one" is Edwards.

Ash has played 37 minutes all season so I think that one is kind of obvious. Oliver's minutes have been whittled away to nearly nothing. That's generally the writing on the wall that there will be a parting and I've heard that Kumu has made overtures most of the season that he will be moving on - and now add in his most recent "injury" and...

Will the coaching staff give these guys the gate? I can't believe some other D1 team would be highly interested in their services. I'm sure there are many kids getting out of high school that would love the opportunity to play at Canisius U. Go Griffs!!!

I think the vast majority of new guys next year will come from the portal - with maybe a JUCO or two. It's getting tougher and tougher for high school kids to get an opportunity.

That's what stinks in the NIL "system". How can a recruited Freshman class grow, especially at a D1 mid-major level, if he/she cannot continue in Academics as made possible by an MBB/WBB scholarship if he/she cannot continue to also grow in BB?
The "system" begins to rot if the coach decides he/she isn't good enough right now and pulls the scholarship at the end of the Frosh season.Well, at mid-major D1 schools, there are few level 5 or 4 talents in the Freshman class (OK really not any, except maybe in the Ivy League). These days for those level 3,2 and 1 -17,18, 19 year old recruits from the high schools or prep schools, potential growth is being stunted by players transferring out as $$ hoppers or in from others transferring in from the portal.

And why you are seeing a lot of kids going the JUCO route out of high school - even when they are qualifiers - in hopes they are more enticing to a D1 school after playing at a higher level for a season. A la Dylan Godfrey and current recruiting target Cooper Kesler.
