It says above Siena has a $650K NIL Budget a year. For a 15 player MBB scholarship roster that's about $43,000.00/player/season. Likely the "best" players get more and others less. How many of those players parents come from "hard working" level jobs? Do the "Star" players make, say $80K- $100K a season playing college hoops while their parents make half or less, maybe while raising the rest of the family? Very few mid-major players will make the NBA, some others will be signed overseas, but most will, hopefully, get good jobs after graduating. Some will not graduate, and then what---? Isn't something badly out of whack here ? Will Congress ever step in and try to correct a lousy system?

For one, they don't have 15 scholarship players. Secondly, I believe the number is much closer to a million. The back end guys are getting nowhere near 43k. Shoats and Doty are both getting 6 figures. And they can still earn a degree despite their paychecks!

Well, yeah. Assuming they stick around for four years, as good students and aren't blinded by the $$. Is it 13 scholarship players at Siena? What's the low end getting? Will any of them be $$ hopping? Should we call them PROFESSIONAL/academics or what?

Yes 13. No one knows for sure because the NIL amounts for players and teams aren't revealed publicly. So based on leaked info. and rumors, probably 5-10k on the low end. I'm sure several will leave for more money - especially if McNamara gets the Syracuse job. I could see Doty following him and most of the others, if not all, going elsewhere.
