Hi Marc,

Are you sure it's all you know. What about any jobs you had before you became a machinist? You may think you didn't learn much, but assess what you did in-
1)All of the jobs you've had
2)Hobbies
3)Volunteer work
4)Favors you've done for people
5)Household chores you've done because nobody else would do them or you couldn't afford to pay anybody to do them?
6)Did you ever have pets?
7)What did you learn in school?
8)What did you learn about on your own because they like the subject(s)?

Other than the fact you did any of the things I listed, what do they have in common other than you?
Did you work with people (develop people skills)?
Did you work alone (not everybody wants to work alone)?
Did you learn about customer service?
What do machinists do but others usually don't do?
Which jobs/businesses are similar to what you did as a machinist?
As you have heard, there's nobody else in the history of the world who was just like you. There's nobody else exact like you now & there never will be. What makes you unique?

Do you see things differently than most others? (Example- Something that made me a good security officer is I quickly recognized unsafe situations & hazards.
Maybe you think differently than others. I was told a few times to be successful in business, I should adopt Jay Abraham's mindset. I listened to his tapes & read his books. But I still didn't understand/recognize what his mind is. One day, it finally occurred to me, that's because I think like he does.
It's like asking a fish, "How's the water?" or "How did you learn how to swim?" Those are things fish usually wouldn't think about if they could think.
What have you or others noticed you have a knack for?

For instance, - "building computers for people." How many potential competitors do you have?
How can you develop a competitive advantage so your business could thrive, even if your competitors stay in business?
The last one may require some research & guidance. Guidance is the purpose of this discussion forum. So, please come back when you're ready.

You don't need a miracle. You don't need magic.
You need powerful marketing. Here's where to get it.
