Subject: 2006 Comortas an Chosta Oir - The Gold Coast Competition

Greetings All -

It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2006 Comortas an Chosta Oir - The Gold Coast Competition to be held August 11th, 12th and 13th in the beautiful Westlake Hyatt Plaza in Westlake Village California. We are very excited and look forward to seeing you all.

Our schedule is very similar to the 2005 competition. We have added a Reel Special for the Beginner - Prizewinner levels. Adults now have a Slow Hornpipe Special in addition to the Slow Jig Special:


Friday, August 11th: Friday Schedule will begin at 5 p.m. This will include: 13 & Older Beginner – Prizewinner & Specials, All Adult competitions, Figures U15 and 15 & Older Beginner and Open levels

Saturday, August 12th: Saturday Schedule will begin at 8 a.m. This will include: 12 & Older Beginner - Prizewinner & Specials, 12 & Older Championships, Championship Specials: Baumer Boys, Brian Grant, Celine Hession, Kim O’Brien Swaim

Sunday, August 13th: Sunday Schedule will begin at 8 a.m. This will include: U12 and younger (Beginner - Prizewinner, championships, and Specials), Beginner & Open Figures U12, Wee Folk and Mairçad O Flaitheartta Specials Rita O’Shea Trophy Special

There will be no wristbands again this year. As part of the registration for the feis, a family registration fee of $10 will need to be paid. The family feis max of $100 does not include the registration fee or specials.
