I gasp as it looks back into my eyes. I fearfully look around for any other dogs from the other packs...I don't see any. I'm alone. With this...this...monster!I get up, prepared to fite...even though I know that I'm in no condition to. I figure he may go back for the pups...and I know I'd never be able to forgive myself if anything happened to any of the pups...or any one for that matter. Just then I see a mound of black fur surrounded by licking flames. "DARKNESS!!!!" I shout out."DARKNESS STAY AWAKE, I'M COMING!" I look at the wolf. He probably saved my life. But who knows what he's planning to do to me now. I throw him a feirce look, with my eyes as lively as the blaze below. I dash off into the wicked heat toward Darkness. I delicately drag him along with my teeth. Where do you put him now Grettle?! Only one place I can even think of.
I continue to drag Darkness along the path I used to get to him. I have to take him up to where the wolf is. I'll fight the wolf myself to keep him out of Darknesses path if I must. I'll do whatever it takes. I gently lie Darkeness down and look into the wolfs eyes. They seemed to have softened, but I won't be fooled. I snarl at him/her to let them know that I won't hesitate to fight. I wait for their move while listening for Darkness to wake up...if he even will...I silently pray that he'll pull thru.
