She found it instantly and quickly settled into a chair, calling out almost in a soft voice for wine. The wine was brought. She was careful not to spill it onto her black tunic, but sipped gently. Nobody here but her, no one at all. Of course, there was a jackal, mouse, and a few otters and squirrels around, but hardly enough to fill the hall. Hardly anybody here. She sipped the wine, feeling strange. She felt that this place was just going to waste, the great rafters and tables and chairs all useless. But surely there was someone else that came here now and then. Paleheart kept on sipping the wine, drifting off into memories of her own, staring at the blank wall, just thinking.
