The fox unceremoniously drags the bound victim to a clear spot right under the wall, then stops. "But first..." he mutters to himself, as he leans down and, with one clamp of his powerful jaws, severs the rope holding the rat captive. But before the hapless creature can even move to defend himself or escape, the fox strikes him so hard across the face that he is left dazed. And though the rat is so grossly overweight, the dogfox's hatred and rage is such that he has no difficult hoisting him up and holding him against the wall.
