First things first: Happy Birthday, GC!

And hello to you, Jayde!

I'm curious-- you read (or saw on television?) George saying he was giving up his "partying ways"? Did he really actually say that (and did he mean it seriously or was he being facetious), or was someone else talking about him?

I ask because, though I know he enjoys a good time (especially with his closest, long time friends), I don't think GC is really such a "party boy". It seems to me that he works too hard at his career and is too involved in the Darfur crisis and other humanitarian efforts to qualify as someone who parties all the time.

But do I think he'll always grab at the chance to hang with his buddies and barbecue and hoist a few beers with them on Sunday afternoons whenever he has the chance?

Sure he will, and why not? Life is short, careers (especially the Hollywood kind) can be be unpredictable and friends-- true friends-- are like gold. I think the older he gets the more GC treasures his family and friends.

Happy Birthday, GC! I hope you've had a great day today with all the people who love you most and know you best! :-)
