Hey everybody! I hope all is well with everyone.
Hi Lorraine. I'm with you, hon. Where is everybody? Probably out Christmas shopping. I'm dreading those malls!
I wanted to write sooner regarding George's beloved Max. I feel such sorrow over Max because I can truly relate. I had a calico cat for 17 years before she passed away in April 2005 (By the way, Lorraine, my baby also would never allow me to get any work done. She would plant herself directly on my paperwork and demand my undivided attention, always.)
I cannot even begin to convey how deep in sadness I was over losing her. She was with me through so many good times and bad times, and my heart felt as though a huge chunk had been torn from it. Sometimes, I still shed tears over her. I miss her. So, I do understand completely how George must be feeling. I, also said that I would never own another cat, however, I have a male tabby now. He is somewhat affectionate but not quite as my other was. Oh my, how he loves to bite and scratch. I believe it's referred to as "play aggression". (Right. For some reason, the claw marks that I bear are no testimony to the word, "play".)
Anyway, back to GC. He has had a rough couple of years to deal with regarding loss of loved ones. I hope he's alright. "My sincere condolences to you, George, on the loss of Max." Well, he may not ever know that I said it, but it's out there, and I hope somehow that the thought will reach him and allow him a quick recovery from the sorrow.
Regarding "The Today Show", I definitely have my clock set (on my VCR, that is.) Oh, while we are on the topic of George appearances, Merlin, thank you ever so much for the list. I can't wait for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" this week. As some of you may know, I missed our beautful Georgie on David Letterman. I'm sure you can all recall the thunderous sound of my heart breaking. So sad. Don't cry. I'll be fine. Really.
Where are Tara and Maria and the rest of the gang? I imagine we won't be hearing (or reading) from many of our group since Christmas is around the corner. I intend, no matter how hectic things get, to visit here every day and make an honest effort to write to everyone. However, in the event that no one else shows, I want to wish everyone an early "Merry Christmas as well as a Happy and Safe New Year!"
And regarding Christmas dinner, have any of you received an invitation from George? (I know what you are all thinking. "Okay, Angel, enough of this invitation crap!") Forgive me. It's really just a little holiday season dreaming. It'll pass. Just hang in there. Don't abandon me now. Is he cooking this year? I would love to try his fried turkey. (Yummy!) I would love to be in his company. (Way more yummy!)
Well, I'm off now, all. Do take care of yourselves. I'll be back tomorrow. Hugs and kisses!
Angel
