Tell! How oft in one's lifetime
Would it be possible to arrive
With such as one to reach out and
Grasp the very matrix of your existence?
When once you pin your faith upon
Another love; of late is gone
Only to concede a higher stance
Awaited along your chosen path.
For it will make of forgone loves
A distant memory of a foreshorten harbor
Or would it be a passing glance
Of a once dim extant?
You take the first ethereal moments
Of joining flesh on flesh,
With such does produce a kindred bond
Mere mortals could only dream of obtaining!
How oft do others happenstance
Master conscientious in a garden of chance?
Is it contrary to all reason that such a match possible
When the template of your desires has been fulfilled?
There for me I decline; to question make
What I should do again for such a sake
For now that I hold near perfection
My journey becomes twice as portentous.
