Something's Amiss

Yes it could indeed be a fruitless search for Sir Dragzfuth
A shadow descends over the town ..... looking up I see
the great form of Tri-arcanoth fly overhead........and
people on the street are running aimlessly....some screaming

"Ezella, where are ye?"
Closing the door I look at Shane
Shane's eyes are as big as saucers
"Nickoli is calling....
you know how he gets....
Don't worry child I have a feeling
that Sir Dragzfuth already knows of this.
Since the ordeal with the poison and
ever since he has been labeled a wanted man.....
I'll warrant he is far from here
How can we hope to find him?
Besides there is evil tonight Shane
I can feel it
Not just the dragon .......something is amiss
You must stay home tonight......do you understand?
"Yes Mama" there is a sadness in his eyes
and I know that although he may understand
he does not mean he accepts the idea
nor do I
but reality is reality.
But still..... I can feel it somehow
as we speak Sir Dragzfuth is preparing
to meet his vengeful dragon Tri-arcanoth
and has been since the day he severed that first head
smiling........Aye and I know he'll have the others as well.....

I walk back inside to find Nickoli in a terrible mood
someone has gotten the better of him this day
I can always tell when he's been bested.
"Serve drinks to the patrons.....it would
appear that bartender John has decided
to skip out on me this night."

I don't mind this ...serving drinks
for I like to hear the people talk
and I catch bits of conversation
Brushing by one table
I think I heard the words whispered
from one of the two surely looking young men sitting there
that Belamore is the true King
Hahahaha .....and you can hear anything
or not hear all of a conversation
such is the way rumors begin...
King Belamore the stable boy (hehe)
Shane is rather fond of Belamore I think
although I've never met him.......
many folks say Belamore's mind isn't quite right.
I'm still smiling at the King Belamore thought when
when the castle bells start ringing..........

Something is happening at the castle!
We all rush to the window
yet the castle looks as always
many people are walking towards it in curiosity
wondering what could it mean?
As I stand there
my eyes fall upon one
unlike the others
moving with purpose
There is something about that one
I feel a shiver ........
something familiar..

I know that I should not
but Mama will not miss me
for some hours yet
I saw Tri-arcanoth fly yonder
if I set out in that direction
maybe I can find Sir Dragzfuth
and maybe I can help......
