Thanks for your message.... I remember Beauty School being so much fun too! We could listen to the radio when we were out on the floor and whenever a Journey song would come on everyone would look at me and say,"Susan, whoooo's that on the radioooo?" Ah, as if I didn't know! Then I would sing along and encourage others to sing along too! It was a great time in my life! It was in 1982, 17 years old! Oh, the good ole' days!
My Mom was a hairstylist and then she too went to Nursing school and became a nurse. I can see how that could happen. It takes a giving heart and a real people person to become a nurse!
How old is your Niece now? And was she a baby when she was in foster care? It really has been a blessing to help out these children who just need to be loved. It's not always easy but it's the love and grace of God that gets you through it!
The Woman of Faith Conference was founded by Steve Arterburn(New Life Ministries) about 6 years ago. There are six core speakers and then a few guest speakers. You might recognize some of the names, they are all best selling Christian authors, Luci Swindoll, Marilyn Meberg, Patsy Clairmont and Sheila Walsh who is a famous singer and author. Babbie Mason was the special music guest, she has won many DOVE Awards.
Check out their web site at: www.womenoffaith.com

My Mom and I enjoyed our time at the conference, we left feeling uplifted! On that site you can see when one is coming to your town, they travel all year long and have a new theme every year. This year it was called, "Boundless Love" They will be doing this every year. What town and state are you in?
