Thinking back to this question. G.O.M. has to do with muscularskeletal disorders. I have to think it has to do with his mother. She had rare muscularskeletal disorder. When they made the album TBF he did not have the hip problem. If you remember from BTM Steve said he went to Hawaii to prepare for the TBF tour and that is when he hurt his hip, not during the recording of TBF. So I think it has more to do with his mom.
