No, I think of it as a compliment that we look for and compare other singers to Steve. The fact that someone would do this proves how much they really appreciate Steve.

It's like this, my Aunt in NY, showed my picture to a musician she works with. One day my Aunt tells me he pointed someone out to her and said that girl looks like your niece. Well I took that as a compliment that he remembered me and thought enough of me to mention it to my Aunt. Whether it was accurate or not is not the point.

The point is that we think so highly of Steve that he has become the standard in which we judge other vocalists.
That is a very high honor and is not an insult.
