Subject: Concert Memories..

One of the other posts got me thinking about seeing Journey in concert. And I thought maybe we could share any special concert memories we may have!

I saw Journey twice. Once for Frontiers and once for Raised On Radio. When we saw the first concert (Of course I was with my bf Tonya) It was snowing like crazy! We lived in colorado and we had to drive from Colorado Springs to Denver. It is normally about a 45 min to an hour drive and it took us 5 hours! Tonya's mom drove us. We were only 15-16 years old! But it was totally worth it. We sat in the worst possible seats straight in the back but we had a blast!

When ROR came out there were all the rumors and what not about the band and that 2 were fired and well, you just knew that this was probably going to be it for Journey. So when they announced the tour date and when tickets were going on sale I did what any other die hard fan did. I slept outside the ticketmaster outlet the night before. On the cold sidewalk. But I was there when the tickets went on sale and I had really good seats that time. If you were standing in front of the stage looking at it I was off to the left in about the 5th row. Like I said, you knew that this might be it, so there Tonya and I were, so close & having the times of our lives. I even danced during the drum solo. At one point during that solo Steve and Neal were on my side of the stage. Everyone else in my section had sat down, not me!! They (steve and neal) look up at my section and me looking like a fool and they pointed and laughed at me!! Sure they laughed but it made my year!! At least they noticed me!

I wasn't able to make it to the FTLOSM concert. I'm still kickin myself over that one.

Well anyway, that is my concert memories. I hope to have more someday.

Jodi
