I feel the same way , NO PERRY, NO JOURNEY

I just read an interview this morning, it was done on the evening of the release of "Trial By Fire", where the bandmembers made comments about each other. These were Neal's exact words, "It was great, working with Steve again. Really. You know, he's definitely the voice of Journey".
So if that's Neal's opinion, then why couldn't they wait for Steve to recover from his surgery?
